Sven Fischer of Germany edged out two-time defending Olympic champion Ole Einar Bjoerndalen to take the Gold at the Biathlon event.
Fischer finished the 10km sprint in 26 minutes 11.6 seconds. His closest rival, Silver Medalist Halvard Hanevold of Norway, was 8.2 seconds behind.

Could a doping scandal be brewing or is this just a case of cross country skiers keeping up with the Jones’? Hey, he/she is doing it, so I have to do it to compete with them. Whatever the case, why if this practice is illegal is the suspension only for five days?
