Badminton has been a part of the Olympic games since 1992. Events include men and women’s singles, men and women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
For the Bejing games, 172 athletes (86 men and 86 women) will compete. The events will be held at the Peking University Gymnasium on the north side of the city.

The Beijing Olympic Committee announced their suggestions for appropriate cheering at the summer games which start August 8. See the official diagram above. I can’t help but think that there must be more important things of which the committee could concentrate.
