What can we expect for Singapore 2010?
In case you guys missed it, Singapore is the host city of the first ever Youth Olympic Games which will happen on the year 2010.
IF we talk about youth, we’re referring to the young people ages 14 to 18 years. The Youth Olympic Games aim to bring together talented athletes – aged 14 to 18 – from around the world to participate in high-level competitions and, alongside the sports element of the event, educational programmes on the Olympic values, the benefits of sport for a healthy lifestyle, the social values sport can deliver, and the dangers of doping and training to excess and/or inactivity.
For the First Summer Youth Olympic Games, the world sporting event will bring together approximately 3,200 athletes and that’s not counting the officials, coaches and aides. The programme will include all sports on the 2012 Summer Games programme, though with a limited number of disciplines and events.

Our children cannot afford the Youth Olympic Games. Help reduce global warming - give the Professional Olympic Games back to amateur athletes.
