I saw the tour last night in Champaign, IL. The athletes gave their best for which I am truly grateful. Justin Spring used the “home mat advantage” to propose to his long-time girlfriend during the performance…she said YES!
The ladies were elegant, graceful, beautiful, and responsive to the crowd. The gents fed off of the applause and wowed the crowd on every apparatus. My heartfelt thanks to each of them for their efforts and taking me on every flip, kip, flare, and big finish.
I’m sorry I have to say the musical “talents” traveling with the tour, KSM and Jordan Pruitt, added nothing to the show. Pruitt’s performance was merely a lip sync in sequins and KSM was just loud with bright lights. I would have been happier with more interviews and flashbacks on the big screen.
“Olga”, the comedic gymnastic genius, was hilarious! Fun, fun, fun!
Thanks again for offering me an Olympic experience I’ll never forget.
