Third Round of Tickets for Beijing Games on Sale May 5

The third (and final) stage of ticket sales for the Beijing Olympic Games will begin May 5 and last through June 9 (or as long as tickets remain available). More than 1.38 million tickets, in 16 sports, will be available through the Beijing Olympics Official Ticketing Web site and at Bank of China outlets.

Individuals will be permitted to purchase a maximum of six tickets (three in each of two sports). Ticketing is on a “first-come, first-serve” basis.

BOCOG ticketing director, Zhu Yan addressed site access problems in previous ticket sales by saying, “”I have confidence in the system because the ticketing sponsors have made a lot of improvements.”

The 2008 Beijing Olympic Games begin on August 8.
