Pistorius Fails to Qualify for Men’s 400m
Oscar Pistorius may have been allowed to compete in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games but the South African, double amputee runner’s time was not fast enough to earn him a spot at men’s 400m race at the Games. It’s unfortunate because he completed the race at the trials in Lucerne, Switzerland with a career best 46.25 seconds but it was not enough to meet the Olympic qualifying standard of 45.55 seconds.
