Perdita Felicien in Race to Compete in Beijing
Canadian hurdles champion, Perdita Felicien, is hoping to recover in time to compete at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games but, really, it’s a race against the clock. She is rebounding from an ankle injury but has resumed training and is hopeful about her chances of making the Canadian Olympic team. She has been out of competition for most of the indoor and all of the outdoor season so far.
You may remember Felicien from her appearance at the 2004 Athens Games where, unfortunately, she collided with the very first hurdle and, while stumbling, knocked Russian hurdler, Irina Shevchenko, out of the race. Here’s a video:
