Olympic Sailing Results - August 20, 2008
Yin Jian won China’s first Olympic sailing gold today at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. This is a great accomplishment for the windsurfer who took home the bronze at the 2004 Athens Games.
Italy’s Alessandra Sensini won the silver medal while Great Britain’s Byrony Shaw won bronze.
In the men’s event, reigning world champion Tom Ashley of New Zealand earned the gold medal. France’s Julien Bontemps and Israel’s Shahar Zubari won the silver and bronze, respectively. Zubari’s win is the first for Israel at the Beijing Games.
