My Favorite Olympic Sport

This week the b5media Sports Channel is talking about favorites. While I enjoy most all of the Olympic sports, I have a particular fondness for the equestrian events. I think it’s the unique pairing of human and equine athletes, each bringing their unique skills to the sport, that appeals to me.
It’s also a sport that rewards experience. It’s not uncommon to see riders in their 40s and 50s compete. In fact, in Beijing the Australian equestrian team has a 60-year-old rider, Laurie Lever. Of course, the elegant outfits and the occasion royal are fun, too.

The bond between an human and equine athlete is incredible. All the training, communicating, and bonding must be in sync to be successful in Equestrian events. The fact that it is an event where Men and Women can compete against each other represents equally. Great blog post!

Nice article.
To be honest, equestrian is definitely a special sport to me. I am not from a country where this sport is popular or being practiced, but I like the way players participate in it. Watching players overcoming the hurdles one after another is a charming experience.
