Kabayeva and Putin: Is it True?

…Maybe, maybe not.
All we know is that the Russian newspaper, “Moskovsky Korrespondent” printed in early April that former Olympic rhythmic gymnast, Alina Kabayeva and Russian president, Vladimir Putin were engaged to be married and that the ceremony was set to take place in June when Putin leaves office. Both parties deny the story.
The 24-year-old Kabayeva (pictured above) won a bronze medal in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney and a gold medal in the 2004 Games in Athens. Since retiring from gymnastics, Kabayeva has become a member of the Russian parliament. She is perhaps best known, however, for being featured in the Russian edition of “Playboy” magazine.
