Ethiopian distance-running legend, Haile Gebrselassie, will represent his country at the upcoming 2008 Beijing Olympics. The 35-year-old will compete in the 10,000m event despite bowing out of the road race over concerns pertaining to poor air quality.
Gebreselassie currently holds the world marathon record of 2 hours 4 minutes 26 seconds and has won gold medals at the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games.
