French Athletics Squad Announced
The 52 competitors who will make up the French athletics Olympic squad have been announced. They’ve already got high hopes for the team with France’s National Technical Director, Frank Chevallier, predicting that they will bring home two to four medals next month at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
The squad will be led by 50km walker Yohann Diniz, who won the gold medal at the European Race Walk in 2006, and 1500m runner Mehdi Baala who took home the silver medal at the 2007 World Championships in Athletics.
The French Athletics Olympic team includes the following members:
Men’s Squad

- 1500m: Mehdi Baala

- 110m Hurdles: Samuel Coco-Viloin, Ladji Doucouré
