Beijing Paralympic Village Opens
The Paralympic Village in Beijing opened on Saturday with a ceremony attended by the Chinese Paralympic team (pictured above). The Paralympic Village will house the more than 7400 athletes, coaches, and guests during the Paralympic Games, which run from September 6 through September 17.
The Paralympic Games, founded in 1960, are designed for athletes with physical, mental, and sensorial disabilities.
