Australian Swimmer Rice Has Pneumonia

by Jeanne Dupuis on August 28th, 2008

Olympics Day 5 - Swimming

Australian swimming star Stephanie Rice is currently sick with pneumonia after winning three gold medals and setting world records at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics earlier this month.   “(The doctors said) I have the early stages of pneumonia, which a lot people probably have,” she said today from Brisbane.  “I haven’t been well since Beijing and it’s gotten a lot worse since coming home.”

I honestly hope that she feels better and that she gets the rest that she needs.
