Olympic Preview Day 8 - Kayaking

Here are some pictures of the eighth day of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games previews.  This collection is from the kayaking practice session at the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park on earlier today.  The members of the Australian team are pictured.  It’s hard work but it looks like a lot of fun!

Rockslide Closes Road to 2010 Olympics

A rockslide has closed the highway leading to several 2010 Winter Olympic venues.  While there were no known injuries reported, a vehicle was struck by rocks that police described as “the size of a room or semi-trailer truck, about 20 to 30 feet (six to nine meters) in diameter.”
