Did you know…?
Had Beijing not win the bid to host the 2008 Olympic Games, Toronto was next in line? Yea, sports fans. We could have seen a Canadian Olympics instead of a Chinese one. Heehee.
I can’t say it was a close call since it was 56 to 22, in favour of Beijing, of course.
Anyway, we’ll see the Canadian Winter Olympics come Vancouver 2010, so, no worries!
