Recruitment of Olympic Volunteers for Beijing 2008
Recruitment of Olympic volunteers from nearby compatriots like Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, overseas Chinese and foreigners was recently launched by the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games and the Beijing Olympic Games Volunteer Work Coordination Group.
I reckon they’re looking to get around 200K volunteers so opening the slots to these cities and/or countries is a good (and not to mention friendly!) move for Beijing, unifying and solidifying their country.
From now on, applicants in the aforesaid areas can apply through the following websites designated by the relevant organizations:
For Hong Kong: www.hab.gov.hk
For Macao: www.sport.gov.mo
For Taiwan: www.bjtx.org
For overseas Chinese: www.bjqb.gov.cn
For foreigners: www.ebeijing.gov.cn
Applications should be sent before March 2008 ends and recruitment will end by May 2008.
