Press Release | 119th IOC Session in Guatemala City
11 April 2007- GENERAL INFORMATION
The annual general meeting of the members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will be held in Guatemala City from 4 to 7 July 2007.
The 119th IOC Session will take decisions on key policy issues and areas under its authority, including the election of the Host City for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games on 4 July from among the three Candidate Cities: Sochi (Russia), Salzburg (Austria), and PyeongChang (South Korea) - the cities are listed in the order of drawing of lots.
Prior to the Session, the IOC Executive Board will meet from 1 to 3 July.
The meetings will be held in two hotels, the Real Intercontinental and the Westin Camino Real, which are located within two blocks of each other in Guatemala City.
The meetings of the Session, the presentations of the Candidate Cities, the vote to elect the Host City, the signature of the Host City Contract and all press conferences including the joint IOC/Host City press conference will take place at the Westin Camino Real.
The 2014 Host City Announcement Ceremony will take place at the Real Intercontinental.
ACCREDITATION
Please note that accreditations will be processed directly on the IOC website. Media representatives wishing to cover the meetings are requested to fill out their accreditation application by 25 May. Any questions regarding the application procedure should be referred to the IOC Communications Department.
Accreditation cards will be distributed at the accreditation desk at the Westin Camino Real. Cards will be distributed only upon presentation of a valid passport.
