Team Italy wins the 4X5km Men’s Cross-Country Relay
The Italian Team of Fulvio Valbusa, Giorgio di Centa, Pietro Piller Cottrer, and Cristian Zorzi wins the Gold (1 hour 43 minutes 45.7 seconds) at the 4X5km Men’s Cross-Country Skiing Relay. It was a victory won in spectacular fashion; the men had to trudge through the difficult terrains as snow falls on the Italian Alps.
The men’s victory essentially avenged the ladies’ third place finish in the same event yesterday.

Germany (1 hour 44 minutes 1.4 seconds) and Sweden (1 hour 44 minutes 1.7 seconds) had to settle for the Silver and Bronze respectively.
The Austrian Team and their Biathlon counterparts had a restless night before the competition. Italian Police raided the Austrians’ apartments on a tip that the team was using banned substances. No drugs or banned substances were found.
Due to a lack of rest, the Austrians’ performance was less-than-stellar.
The Norwegian Men’s Team, like the ladies, only managed to finish fifth overall in this event.
